Our golf season finished on the 3rd of November. The golf course and driving range are currently closed. We look forward to seeing you again in spring 2025.
The focus is on originality and species protection and, of course, the quality of the site. No sprays and only organic fertilizers are used on the entire area, and attention is paid to sustainable plant protection.
From the summer of 2023, the golf course is free of plastic bottles. Golfers can purchase reusable bottles on the golf course and in the golf restaurant and fill them up with Grander water free of charge from the newly designed water fountain.
Behind Green 17 there are three beehives on the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course, which are looked after by a trained beekeeper. After the bee colony settled in spring 2022, 45 kg of honey was harvested in late summer. The honey is available for purchase at the golf course and in the Service Center of Kitzbühel Tourism.
A warm summer with many opportunities for excursions and the specially created flower meadows between the golf holes offered perfect conditions for the ecologically very important insects. Because we are not the only ones who benefit from their diligence - their pollination of various plants ensures that most of our food is preserved.
In addition to avoiding waste and avoiding the use of pesticides, the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course has been focusing even more on sustainability since 2021. A large flower meadow at hole 9 offers an attractive habitat for our bees, butterflies and other useful insects and a wonderful sight for Kitzbühel's golf guests. As ambassador of the BioBienenApfel social project, tennis star Dominic Thiem sowed another flower meadow on the golf course during the week of the Generali Open Kitzbühel. A Grander drinking water fountain has been installed in the clubhouse in 2023, and over the next few years work will be carried out intensively on the topics of "energy generation" and e-mobility.
